Free static QR codes
Are the QR codes from codigo-qr.es really free?
Yes. Static QR codes are completely free, unlimited and without watermark. No registration or payment details required.
Do I need to create an account to download a QR code?
No. For static QR codes you can generate and download directly without signing up. You only need an account for dynamic QR codes with analytics.
Does the downloaded QR have a watermark or codigo-qr.es logo?
No. QR codes are clean, without watermark on any plan including the free one. Your own logo is only added if you upload it (Pro).
In which formats can I download the QR code?
PNG for web and digital use, vector SVG for print. Both formats are available on all plans including the free one.
Do static QR codes ever expire?
No. Static QR codes never expire. The URL is encoded in the code and works forever without depending on any server.
Dynamic QR codes
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static QR has a fixed URL: if it changes, you need to reprint. A dynamic QR points to an intermediate link that you can edit from the panel without touching the physical code.
How many dynamic QR codes does the free plan include?
The Free plan includes two permanent active dynamic QR codes, with no credit card or expiration date. They are free forever, not a trial.
Can I change the destination of a dynamic QR after printing it?
Yes. That is exactly the advantage of a dynamic QR: you change the URL from the panel and all subsequent scans go to the new destination without reprinting.
What analytics do dynamic QR codes include?
Total number of scans, country, city, device type, browser and time trends. The Pro plan includes 12-month history and CSV export.
Do dynamic QR codes stop working if I cancel the Pro plan?
The two most recent pass to the Free plan and keep working. The rest are paused and reactivate when you return to Pro.
Do dynamic QR codes have a scan limit?
No. codigo-qr.es puts no scan limit on any plan. You can have campaigns with millions of scans without any additional charge.
Barcodes
What types of barcodes does codigo-qr.es generate?
EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14 and GS1-128. All eight formats are free. Code 128 and EAN-13 are also available on the Free plan.
When should I use EAN-13 and when Code 128?
EAN-13 is the standard for retail products (supermarkets, shops). Code 128 is for logistics, warehouse and internal use. GS1-128 is for supply chain with additional attributes.
Do I need to register to generate a barcode?
No. All eight barcode formats are accessible without an account: enter the value, download as PNG or SVG and you are done.
Are the generated barcodes valid for commercial printing?
Yes. They meet GS1 and ISO standards. To use EAN-13 on products sold in retail you need to register your company prefix with your national GS1 organization.
Pro plan
How much does the Pro plan cost?
5.99€ per month or 49€ per year (equivalent to 4.08€/month). No price changes based on volume or number of active QR codes.
What does the Pro plan include that the free plan does not?
Unlimited dynamic QR codes, 12-month analytics history, CSV export, central logo on QR codes, color gradients, advanced CTA frames, decorative stickers and the six Pro barcode formats.
Can I cancel the Pro plan at any time?
Yes. Cancellation is immediate from the Stripe Customer Portal. No lock-in or penalty. Pro access lasts until the end of the paid period.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. The annual plan costs 49€ (4.08€/month) instead of 71.88€ if you paid monthly. That is a 32% saving.
Does the Pro plan have an active dynamic QR limit?
No. The Pro plan includes unlimited dynamic QR codes. You can have 10 or 10,000: the price does not change.

Yes for most cases. Codigo-QR.es generates bio links with a dynamic QR code included: the visitor scans the QR and lands on your links page. Technical and security
Are the generated QR codes compatible with any reader?
Yes. All QR codes meet ISO 18004 standard and work with any QR reader: iOS camera, Android and industrial scanners.
Does the codigo-qr.es QR reader work in any browser?
Yes. The online QR reader works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on mobile and desktop, without installing any application.
What happens to scan data? Is it private?
Analytics data is anonymous: no personal data of the person scanning is recorded, only technical metadata (country, device, time). Data is stored encrypted and only accessible to the QR owner.
Where are the codigo-qr.es servers?
The infrastructure runs on Supabase (Postgres on AWS EU-West) and Vercel (global CDN). European user data is processed within the European Union.
