Name, company, role, landline and mobile phone, email, website, postal address and a free note. You can also include a base64-encoded profile photo, though this increases the QR size and may reduce scannability on small prints.
Yes. The vCard QR is static: all the contact information is encoded inside the code itself. It doesn't need a server or internet connection. The phone reads it and offers to save the contact locally.
The vCard format is a standard compatible with the native address book on iOS, Android, Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird and most contact managers. No extra app is required.
A static vCard QR cannot be edited. If your details change you need to generate a new QR. If you use a dynamic QR pointing to a digital vCard landing, you can update the destination without reprinting the QR.
